Hydrogen can be used to power vehicles, generate electricity and produce heat.  As a result, it’s seen as an essential component of future energy systems.

As a collaboration between UNSW and Providence Assets Group, HERC combines research, testing, production and engagement under one roof. Our unique, rapid translation of hydrogen research will accelerate the adoption of hydrogen technologies in industry and communities. HERC is therefore a critical conduit in bringing this sustainable and economical resource to market, enabling the energy transition.

Our translational research and development solutions focus on four key areas.

Large Scale Hydrogen Power Supply 

Technology across the hydrogen value chain that can be deployed as separate components. This includes hydrogen storage containers for the export market.

Integrated Hydrogen Power Supply 

Technology that contains electrolysers, fuel cells and hydrogen storage solutions in one unit, which can then be deployed to scale.
